Do we really have the sauna boat to ourselves?
Yes. You book the whole SaaleSpa exclusively for your group. The wood-fired sauna, relaxation room and roof terrace are part of your private experience. The boat remains moored at Portenschmiede; the sauna booking does not include a cruise.
How many people can use the SaaleSpa?
Up to ten guests can relax aboard together. Everyone taking part must be at least six years old. For two people or a smaller group, choose a suitable arrangement; the number of guests included is shown with the selection.
What is included in the price, and what costs extra?
Your package includes exclusive use of all areas, a preheated sauna, firewood, water and tea. Other included services depend on the arrangement. Add guests and extras when choosing; the calendar checks the total again before your request. View arrangements and the total price.
Which time slot works for an experience with food?
Subject to availability, experiences without food can take place in the morning, finishing by 14:00, or in the afternoon from 15:30. Choose the afternoon for an étagère. Familienzeit, FirstClass and Romantik are also afternoon arrangements; the calendar shows suitable dates.
Can we eat at Schmiedehafen after the sauna?
Yes. You can include a restaurant visit in your plans for the day. Check kitchen hours and closing days, and request a table separately for after your sauna experience. A sauna booking does not reserve a restaurant table. Request your table at Schmiedehafen.
Directions, parking and leaving
In Wilhelmsdorf, follow the road towards Campingplatz Portenschmiede; the entrance is about 2 km away. The barrier opens after recognising your number plate. Park in the marked spaces near the sauna boat.
The team gives you a token for the exit after your visit. It is valid on the booking date until 11:59 pm; after that, the campsite’s daily fees apply.
What should you bring?
Bring a sauna towel and bath towel, bathing shoes, your swimwear and comfortable clothes for afterwards. FirstClass and Romance already include a bathrobe, sauna towel and bath towel.
Booking, payment and arrival
Choose your package and an available date. Include every person attending. After your request, you receive the details for a bank transfer. Your preferred date is held provisionally; Wena confirms it personally once she has checked that payment has arrived.
