Preheated wood-fired sauna at the jetty, panoramic lounge with sound system, water and tea bar, roof terrace, outdoor deck with hanging lounge and sufficient firewood.

Wena’s passion project
For Wena, SaaleSpa is much more than a boat. It is a project close to her heart.
For more than 25 years, Wena has been creating special holiday moments. Under the SaaleMomente brand, she brings together the sauna boat and Restaurant Schmiedehafen at Portenschmiede. Strandhafen Café is planned as a future addition.
Built by the Swedish boatyard Marinbastun, brought to Thuringia and made at home here. A special place to unwind, welcoming guests from Germany and far beyond.

SaaleSpa is moored in the first bay of the Portenschmiede recreation area on Lake Hohenwarte.
From Wilhelmsdorf, follow signs for Campingplatz Portenschmiede; the entrance is about 2 km away. The barrier opens after recognising your number plate. Use the marked parking spaces by the sauna boat. After your visit, the team gives you a token for the exit barrier. You can leave until 23:59 on your booking day; after that, the campsite charges its daily fees.

FirstClass and Romantik already include a bathrobe, sauna towel and bath towel. Water and tea are included in every package.

Yes. You book the entire sauna boat exclusively. You will not share the sauna, lounge or deck with other groups.
